Is there anyone who has gone through CWT6 or type 1 evaluation with FCCPT?
If so, kindly let me know from where can the following deficiencies be fulfilled?

hi!!

My query-

I am a MPT from India,
done my verification thru CGFNS and credentialing thru NYSED,
Eligible for NPTE,
TOEFL done,Have a sponsor(based in maryland) willing to recruit provided I have FCCPT TYPE1 ........

Issues-
Applying thru FCCPT would need mini 60 gen credits which seems to be a problem for me ,even though I have masters degree???(mainly concerned with chemistry & physics with practs. credits)

1)Any boards whose general credit requirement is less than 60???

2)Can you suggest me some of the boards who accepts visa screen thru CGFNS?{tennessee??new jersey????}

As of now,my aim is to get the visa screen done, since almost all the agencies ask for toefl and visa screen certificate for recruitment.

ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE APPRECIATED

Thank you

Hello Richi Richards, let me clarify few things. Is it that you have already done credential evaluation thru CGFNS for NY, TOEFL cleared? Are you already registered for NPTE or is it that you have an ATT from the NY PT Board for NPTE registration?
Visascreen does not have anything to do with state PT boards, Richi. It is needed for your visa processing and not for licensing.

hi!!

yes...I have done my credentialing thru CGFNS for NY,

have cleared the TOEFL &

NY board has told me that I can register and take NPTE(NY board does not provide any document like ATT ,candidate has to call up and inquire about the eligibility)

Yes ..I'm aware that license exam can be taken without visa screen...Indeed ,I had applied for tourist visa for taking NPTE,which was rejected ,So I approached agencies for sponsorship, & fortunately came across a couple of agencies who were ready to sponsor me ,provided I have FCCPT TYPE 1....But becoz of uncertainty of making the required general credits ,I've stalled the process & trying to find a way out....
.
.
and that why I'm finding a board whose gen credit requirement is little less,so that I can make the requirement.
.
.
.
And the intention behind asking ,boards accepting CGFNS visa screen was that ,since I've done the verification & evaluation thru cgfns,it might be easy for them as they have my file(documents).....
.
.
I suppose ,now u must have understood the problem........please let me know ,if u have any solutions for this
.

Richi, to my knowledge no state boards ask for a visa screen certificate. They are needed to file for one's H1b application. Visa screen application is mandated by Federal rules and it requires that one should have a minimum of 4 years of post secondary education( i'm not sure if they have updated it to be a min of Masters degree). If you have already done evaluation thru CGFNS then i would suggest you do visa screen thru the same agency.
