Dear Dr.
The Indian Head Injury Foundation (IHIF) was founded by His Highness Gaj Singh II of Jodhpur in February 2007. “The IHIF’s mission is to foster the development of a comprehensive neuro-trauma care system in India that includes prevention, diagnosis, treatment and neuro-rehabilitation of head and spine injuries”.
IHIF has teamed up with DCWA on 1st June 2011 to set up a Neuro-Rehabilitation centre with specialized pediatric unit at the DCWA Medical centre, Zamrudpur, New Delhi.
Neuro-Rehabilitation is a neglected field with very few Occupational therapists and Physiotherapists dedicated to this specialty. As an Executive director of Indian Head Injury Foundation (IHIF), I have realized that unless we build a larger pool of Neuro-Rehabilitation specialist, any new centre for Neuro- Rehabilitation will have an acute shortage of therapists. IHIF/DCWA has decided to form the “Delhi Society for Neuro-Rehabilitation”. We would welcome you to join us in this cause.
The first meeting will be held on 7th April 2012 at 2:00 PM at Delhi Common wealth Women’s Association, Kailash colony extension, Zamrudpur, New Delhi. This meeting was previously scheduled for 31st March 2012. The agenda will be:
1) Welcome address by Ms. Gita Devi, Chairperson of DCWA Medical centre.
2) Introduction to Indian Head Injury Foundation (IHIF) and IHIF/DCWA Neuro Rehabilitation centre by Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Senior Consultant Neurosurgeon & Spine Surgeon Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals New Delhi & Hon. Executive Director Indian Head Injury Foundation and Dr. Deepali Kapoor, Counseling Psychologist, Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi.
3) Meeting and discussion on the formation of this society and election of office bearers.
4) A tour of the IHIF/DCWA centre by Dr. Prateek and Dr. Arshad.
5) Vote of thanks by Dr. Tarun Lala, Senior Neuro physiotherapist and incharge of Neuro Rehabilitation unit at Apollo Hospital and Neuro Rehab advisor to IHIF since last 5 years.

Please confirm your participation and register yourself with us.
