i happen to be a part of a project that wants to start such a centre. so could you guide me on the following areas. i searched internet but i cuold not find a site that can give me a complete info on such a unit.

1) exercise equipments with details about what basic parameters they need to be equipped with example a treadmill with heart rate monitor, ECG, speed, calories spent etc.

2) basic physiotherapy modalities needed like tens, ift etc.
3) if a patient gets knee pain while on treadmill should that be treated in rehab setup ?
4) noninvasive methods to calculate VO2max
5) what is the criteria that decideas that patient can go to next phase?- is it the rate of perceved exertion scales, or VO2max levels or what?

has anybody worked in a cardiac rehab setup? plz help...

it is natural that not too many people may be abla to help since this is a field where not too much research has been done but this is essentially a physio's field and very promising. not too many centres are there in india, i suppose!
