Is IAP losing its trust?

Saturday 19 February 2005 - 05:24:17

Kottayam, Kerala, India
13th February 2005

Is Indian Association of Physical therapists loosing its credibility among the graduate PT community in our country? Are they doing any good for the PT profession? Unsurprisingly the vast majority of PTs were doubtful about IAP's current activities and policies in a discussion forum for graduate PTs organised for the first time under the initiative of Mr.Abhilash Babu PT, a senior exponent, last Sunday in Kottayam .

A forum for PT professionals for current discussions, continuating medical
education and also to closely observe and respond to the IAP activities has been formed on the occasion. The Convener of
the IAP chapter Kerala, Mr. Indusekhar PT was also present at the meeting.

arun..which forum have u been pointing to?the idea is certainly great arun..i hope abhilash do get enough support from the pt's around..much more nice that members from iap too was there..so that they do get to know where they r lacking that too being the premier forum for the pt's in india! they do have become less popular or less known to the pt's in india..regarding thier work for the profession..but they have been closely followed by the pt community just dsue to the value the association has among the premier health institutions and boards both in india and abroad i feel!
i still believe that if physios get together thier act, we can br9ing back our association where it should belong..from where it is now..a cash making profitable business..!

exactly Robin.... and thatz what actually the forums policy is turning out to be...... rather than being a completely independent body it intends to closely observe ans respond to IAP's activities and policies...... besides doing itz own good for the profession....... we all an see that union is what is lacking with us as you've pointed.....an this is the prime motive for the same......and we appreciate participation from all who would like to.....

The next generalbody meeting of the forum is tomorrow at 2pm in Kottayam KSTA office. Here after all ofthe generalbody meetings will be announced in the Event Calendar of Physioblasts.Org.
