Another Year Of Service For The Physiotherapy Community By Our Members
Sunday 03 July 2011 - 09:13:20
Physioblasts or PB.Org as many physiotherapists would like to call, turns 7 years old on July 8th, 2011. It has come a long way from being just the first Indian physiotherapy website to be the premier organisation for physiotherapists in the country. The growth would not have been possible without the like and passion of many members who are out there trying to learn, share and help with whatever they could for the profession to grow in India.

Physioblasts has proved to achieve its goal of being a platform for physiotherapists to discuss issues related to their education, practice as well as new trends. Once a small community, it has become a very big with the largest collection of physiotherapy related forum discussions, articles and news in India. It is also not surprising that we were able to take quick notice of developments which were or would have hindered the scope of our practice of the profession and have acted in such a way that necessary steps were taken to prevent them from happening. Instances like discussion, formation and signing of memorandum against the Paramedical and Physiotherapy Council bill of 2004, steps against the NPTE ban for Indian PTs in 2010 etc. had been in the forefront of collective community work by the members. The times when the website was of help to many individual physiotherapy students and clinicians in their study or area of practice will be invaluable to the members here which helps feel that the goals have been achieved constantly. There would not be a better time than now to say to the members that the work and extra effort they have been putting in all these years have been worthy and appreciated.
We had been the highest ranked website for physiotherapists in India constantly for the past 5 years in terms of traffic and contents published. We were rated and awarded by quite few organisations for our work in the field of physiotherapy. We feel that a solid base had been laid, and hopes that our colleagues would use it to their advantage in the quest for learning, sharing and working towards a goal related to our profession.
Lighting a candle for those who are in the dark is considered a great work by Physioblasts. We could not but ask you all to share that little piece of light you hold to other fellow physiotherapist's who might be in the dark. Let us share, discuss and help ourselves grow in knowledge when the things around us had been very testing of late.
